I was born and raised in Falls Church, Virginia, and no, it is not a little farm town like most people think when they hear the name; it is actually right outside of Washington D.C. I really enjoyed growing up there and I certainly get homesick now and then, but at the same time, I am having a blast living in
I am currently 23 years old and recently graduated from UC Berkeley with a degree in psychology (however, I don't really intend on ever putting that degree to use). I worked really hard in school and got good grades, but I am absolutely thrilled that it is done and over with! The year after I graduated, I was an assistant coach for the
I've been doing gymnastics ever since my parents put me in "mom-and-tot" classes at the young age of 4. I have always loved it and want to be involved with the sport of gymnastics for the rest of my life. In
I have been on the Senior National Team since 2006 and have competed in various competitions all around the world. Some highlights of my career thus far are holding Cal's record for most individual NCAA titles (3 on pommel horse and 2 on parallel bars), competing in the final Olympic Trials in 2008, winning pommel horse at the 2009 Wintercup Challenge, and winning parallel bars and placing 2nd all-around at the 2009 Visa Championships. But my biggest accomplishment so far would have to be making the 2009 World Championship Team.
When I'm not in the gym, I watch a lot of TV and movies (Netflix is my new best friend) and enjoy hanging out with my teammates. I feel very lucky to live the life I lead....I have the best friends in the world, loving and supportive parents and brother, and an amazing girlfriend! All in all, I'm currently living my dream... I get to practice the sport that I love every day (and sometimes twice a day). My only problem is that money is pretty tight. If anyone knows of any sponsorship opportunities, or would like to make a donation to the "Tim is Broke" fund, that would be GREATLY appreciated!!!! You can get in touch with me by clicking the "contact" link on this site. Thanks a lot for checking out my website! I will be continuously uploading pictures and videos of current skills and routines that I am working on. I hope you will enjoy them!
Oh, and of course, GO BEARS!!!!!!
